2010 Denver Press Club Gridiron Show Set for October 29
The Denver Press Club (DPC) will hold its annual Gridiron Show on Friday, October 29, with dinner at 6 p.m. and showtime at 7 p.m. It will be held at the Denver Marriott City Center hotel.

DENVER, CO, September 30, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The Gridiron show is a showcase of local performers, journalists, politicians and Denver Press Club members, who present a hilarious skewering of local and national political and cultural happenings - mostly in song, plus a fake newscast. The original performance was held in 1946, and its current run has been an annual occurrence since 2000 (except 2001).

"We target politics, popular culture and whatever else is unfortunate enough to make our radar screen. We are also in talks with some guest performers who can make this one of the most memorable Gridiron Shows ever," said Denver Press Club President and Gridiron Show organizer Bruce Goldberg.

Following is a partial list of who you'll see on stage this year: Governor Bill Ritter, former Gov. Dick Lamm, Mayor John Hickenlooper, CBS4's Jim Beneman and Greg Moody, KMGH-TV's Mike Landess, Rocky Mountain PBS' Cynthia Hessin, Don Mares of the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment, the Denver Business Journal's Bruce Goldberg, the Aurora Daily Sentinel's Adam Goldstein, Fred Brown, Sari Padorr, Edie Sonn, Ruth Darling-Goldberg, Steve Koenigsberg, Tom Corona and many more.

Tickets to the show cost $80 and include dinner. You can purchase tickets at www.blacktie-colorado.com, by clicking on October 29. Sponsor opportunities are available and include a reserved table of 10 with signage at the Gridiron show. The sponsorship levels include: bronze $1,200, silver $1,700, and gold $2,200.
