Mundus Bishop Wins Two ASLA Colorado 2010 Professional Design Merit Awards
Local landscape architecture firm creates master plans for Denver's top landmarks - Denver's Civic Center and Denver Mountain Parks - and is recognized for outstanding work

DENVER, CO, November 10, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Mundus Bishop, a Denver landscape architecture firm that specializes in creating gardens and outdoor spaces, has received two professional design Merit Awards
from the Colorado Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA). The awards
for Denver's Civic Center Master Plan and Design Guidelines, and Denver Mountain Parks
Master Plan were presented at the Colorado Chapter of the ASLA's annual award ceremony
held recently at the Brown Palace Hotel.

"Our team is proud to accept awards from our peers for two projects that are instrumental to
Denver," said Tina Bishop, principal of Mundus Bishop. "We're glad Mundus Bishop continues
to play a key role in helping revive Denver's Civic Center and getting Denver Mountain Parks the
attention it needs and deserves."

Denver's Civic Center, in the heart of downtown Denver, is a place for gathering, meeting,
commerce and government. It's a national example of the 20th Century's City Beautiful
movement - a purposeful, designed urban hub that integrates utility, while creating a sense
of community and civic pride. Denver's Civic Center was built nearly 100 years ago. Mundus
Bishop's master plan and design guidelines recognize the park's historical significance
and recommends improvements for its modern use. The plan has already guided current
rehabilitation of historic structures and features and will continue to guide projects for years to
come.

The Denver Mountain Parks Master Plan examines the value of the mountain park system
to the people of Denver and provides sustainable management strategies for the funding,
marketing and protection of the world-class park organization. Mundus Bishop's plan proposes
both large and small improvements for the next five to twenty years and beyond to take Denver
Mountain Parks to the level of quality commensurate with its international status.
