Ms Shride's contribution to the book centers around the birth of her baby sister and how the worst Christmas gift ever (in her young mind) transformed to the best Christmas gift ever as their relationship evolved.

"I was so excited to take part in this book because, as you know from following my blogs as well as my posts on Twitter and Facebook, I am a firm believer in the power of gratitude to transform lives," says Ms Shride. In keeping with the spirit of the project, net proceeds from national book sales will be split among three charitable organizations: Feeding America, Women for Women International and the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ACPCA).
