Denver Co-Author in the Gratitude Books Project Shares Her Favorite Christmas Memory and Gives Back to Those in Need
THE GRATITUDE BOOK PROJECT : International Book Project Brings Back the Wonder and Magic of the Holiday Season with National Book Sale Proceeds Benefiting Three Charitable Organizations

strong> LAKEWOOD, CO, December 10, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- CS Shride, local author of the Lucy Dakota: Adventures of a Modern Explorer series and the award-winning, young adult novel,[b[ Rocky Mountain Beginnings, is a co-author in The Gratitude Book Project: My Favorite Christmas Memory, a collaborative book sold on Amazon.com featuring stories of innocence, anticipation, miracles, and traditions of the season.

The book gives you a peek inside the miracle a stranger brought to a single mom's door and will delight you with the joy one dollar and six plastic elves created for an entire family. Everything old will feel new again when you get caught up in a 5-year-old's vision of Santa—from the window of a plane.

My Favorite Christmas Memory is stuffed full of surprises in this heart-warming collection of holiday memories that will put you in the spirit of the season.

Ms Shride's contribution to the book centers around the birth of her baby sister and how the worst Christmas gift ever (in her young mind) transformed to the best Christmas gift ever as their relationship evolved.

"I was so excited to take part in this book because, as you know from following my blogs as well as my posts on Twitter and Facebook, I am a firm believer in the power of gratitude to transform lives," says Ms Shride. "I got involved with The Gratitude Book Project as a co-author in two previous Gratitude Project Books: Celebrating Moms & Motherhood (released May, 2011) and A Celebration of Personal Heroes (released September 11, 2011). When this opportunity arose to share more stories about what I am grateful for in my life, I jumped at it."

In keeping with the spirit of the project, net proceeds from national book sales will be split among three charitable organizations: Feeding America, Women for Women International and the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ACPCA).
